A handful of talent youngsters are leading a snooker revival.

● Our school which invites world standard coaches, professional players , and Hong Kong experienced players and

coaches to teach Our aim is to train youngsters aged 18 (Grade 1-12)or below whohave a lot of talent and potential

to become professionals and toprovide top class athletes for Hong Kong. Our school provided about grade 1-12

examinations ' Red-Yellow-Green-Brown-Blue-Pink-Black-Bronze- Silver-Gold-Platinum and Diamond Ball Certificate

' by UK-Official World Snooker Grade-A Coach Sir.Alan Wong .

Mr Alan Wong, the WPBSA official grade A qualified snooker coach and the head coach of the The International Youth Snooker

Academy have adopted the official training and examination system approved by the WPBSA. By using the Red to Black ball exam

(grade 1 -7) of the WPBSA, and the Bronze-Silver-Gold- Platinum and Diamond ball exam (grade 8 – 12) of the International Youth Snooker

Academy , these exams are designed for motivation purposes and will also gradually improve the snooker skills of the player. Grade 1 – 3 as

beginner standard, grade 4 – 7 as intermediate standard and grade 8 - 12 as advanced (professional) standard. The International Youth Snooker

Academy will also act as a platform for players from all over the world to show their skills by taking these exams. Players will have

more or less anidea of their own standard depending on what grade they pass . By successfully passing an exam , the academy will issue the

relevant gradecertificate signed by Mr Alan Wong. Our intension is to generate more interest from players playing the sport and to identify more

talented players.

●Snooker is always unpredictable, just like chess. It helps to train your logical thinking and analytical

powers. Italso enhances your psychological competence and mental well-being. Snooker definitely

deserves to be promoted further. We hope the government will organize greater number of

training programmes for teenagers and encourage hem to take up the sport.--------

● 本校特別聘請英國職業A級教練和職業球手,中國及香港資深精英球手及國家級教練. 集'中 英 港 ' 三地教學方式. 主要採用

英國世界桌球協會訓練課程及方法 , 嚴格的 1---12級 ' 紅-黃-綠-啡-藍-粉-黑-銅-銀-金-白金-鑽球之 證書' 考核制度 ( 其中1-7

為世界桌球協會官方認可之' 紅-黃-綠-啡-藍-粉-黑證書' ), 並進行分班 (Grade 1-12) 教授, 實行邊教--邊學--邊練--邊考四結合,

一舉四得, 在錄像鏡頭下的考核更可提高學生的心理質素。通過 (Grade 1-12 )訓練考核可以篩選及發掘一些極有天份精英球手 .

-----本校以高成本和高質量長期專門培訓 (18歲以下) 在校上學讀書並極具桌球天份及潛質之少年 ,不斷提升其心理質素及

職業水準. 希望能為桌球壇提供新一代健康 ' 業餘 '的 (在校上學讀書品學兼優 ) '專業級'桌球好手。

●英式斯諾克SNOOKER--乃英國百多年歷史並堪稱人類史上最高難度的一項益智健身頗具紳士味道及高智慧的運動

. 亦為一種將幾何算度和參與者思維磨練深度結合鬥智、鬥技並特別適合小孩子的高尚藝術運動 . 它集鬥兵法、鬥戰略

、鬥耐力、鬥現場適應力、鬥自信心、鬥腦與肢體協調性等，並且極適合東方人玩 ，最適合8歲以上小孩子，因無須

強勁的體力。 可以從小訓練小孩子理解力和記憶力、計劃性、獨立的性格及毅力、專注、增強自信心、增強承受失敗

的能力。青少年球手應視它為一項益智健康的藝術運動，首先要讀好書，再勤奮練習，'桌球' 是一項易學難精的' 藝術

'運動 、乃 ' 圍棋 ' 與 '乒乓球' 之和的室內運動，極需高智商及心理素質，現場的手感與對手及觀眾互動的情緒發揮、

及承受失敗的壓力----------云云!

● 業餘(在校上學讀書) 的少年斯諾克球手'成才' 必備的四個基本'條件' ：------------------------------

1) 天份：-----必須極嗜好此運動, 聰慧、理解力強、性格獨立、專注、自信心強、承受失敗。

2) 努力：----必須讀好書(極需高智商及心理素質)、犧牲、勤奮練球！練球！再練球！

3) 家庭：----父母支持(資金投入、學球與讀書時間的合理安排,不要荒廢學業)-

4) 環境：----學球環境(不嗜煙！不沾酒！不賭球！不猥言！近朱者赤、近墨者黑。) 8-9歲開始逐步成長, 打好牢固的基礎，

16-18歲後才出成績， 大器晚成 !

 

●國際象棋' 是挑戰人類的智慧. '跑步'則是挑戰人類的體能 -----------------斯諾克運動卻是在同時挑戰人類的智慧與體能 !

據統計, 打一場正規的斯諾克比賽, 球手將前後圍繞球台行走約10公里路程左右 . 如包括球手彎腰、起身、站坐與擊球等動作 .

其運動量相當驚人. 它不僅僅是一項運動. 更象一種思維訓練. 隨著撞擊點不停地變化. 擊球桿法演化出推桿, 定桿, 拉桿等多種

技巧. 正是瞄准點位置的選擇. 不同桿法的搭配. 出桿力度的混合,以及室溫.濕度對台布與運球的影響 . 使得撞球過程融入了最

精妙的物理, 幾何學. 千變萬化 . 據統計兩盤賽球的重合率為幾億分之一 . 可謂' 挑戰永在 ' ,' 誘惑亦永在 ' !

●有讀書 業餘 (英國和英聯邦、香港的精英小球手均邊讀書邊練球)、和無讀書職業(泰國、中國大陸的精英小球手均停

課輟學) 的小球手最大的分別是：-----------------------------------------

-----小孩子8-14歲初學時通常進步神速都打得很好，(因從小訓練的是pot 波、遠台搶攻、圍球、防守等純基礎球技)沒

有太大差別，但到了成年或進入職業生涯後(涉及大量複雜的cue法、全台的操控、現場戰略及互動智商、心理素質等)

，明顯就不如有讀過書的球手 !----------英國的小球手就係實例,他們打過百非常輕鬆，毫無壓力，比利時15歲陸卡.孝

9歲就已打出一桿147。

●斯諾克 Snooker 這項運動---真正出成績在18歲之後為佳，20歲才是一名職業球手的黃金年齡。和其它的競技體

育項目有所不同，它需職業球手的體能要求不高，很多高水平球手都是30歲以後才拿到冠軍。如長期沒有文化的積累和

薰陶，球手在邏輯思維和理解能力上都有所局限。其運動生涯長不了. 而這也正是丁俊暉的爸爸鼓勵丁俊暉進入大學深

造的原因所在。丁爸爸已經意識到，如沒有扎實的文化積淀，'神童' 只能是曇花一現，最終變成“仲永”，更被時代淘汰。

●香港(在校上學讀書) '業餘'的桌球好手. 必須按步就班地訓練.切勿'拔苗助長'
